DRIVER/YARD ASSISTANT

We are looking for a flexible person for a dual role of Van Driver and Yard Operative within a busy timber merchant.

Main duties: • Delivering goods on a 3.5 tonne pickup (full driving licence essential) • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck • Serving and checking customer collections • Picking and packing orders • Keeping work areas clean and tidy • Ensuring all duties are carried out as part of a safe working environment in strict compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures (including manual handling).

This is a key customer facing role, so you will need great interpersonal skills. You’ll have previous experience as a Driver and hold a full UK driving license. A forklift truck license would be desirable, however not essential as training can be provided. What we are looking for is someone with a friendly and flexible personality who is happy to communicate face to face with customers.

FENCING CONTRACTORS

We are looking for Self-Employed Fencers for our existing contract works.

Must have experience of working on new house build sites, hold valid insurances and CSCS registered.
